Here's What We Do if an Asteroid is Headed to Earth

What if an asteroid were to hit Earth? Would we be able to see it coming, and could we predict its effects? Kristen Howley at the University of California shares the research she’s a part of in creating and improving early warning systems and emergency plans to protect Earth from an unlikely, but possible catastrophic asteroid hit.
