The Coddling of the American Mind

The Coddling of the American Mind – the first ever Substack Presents feature documentary, directed by Ted Balaker and produced by Courtney Moorhead-Balaker (Korchula Productions).

We co-produced the film and provided all the art direction and animation for the documentary.

Based on The New York Times’ best selling book, The Coddling of the American Mind, by Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan Haidt, the the film delves into the mental health crisis that GenZ is facing, and offers thoughts and data as to causes and solutions.

Hector was a huge fan of original Atlantic magazine article as well as the book, and when we connected with Ted and Courtney, we jumped at the chance to partner up with them on the project.

As fans of the Substack platform, we are thrilled that the movie has found a home there. In 2017 Substack liberated journalists and now they’re liberating filmmakers. If you or someone you know has high school or university age relatives, this is a must-watch.

You can stream the film here.
