White Guilt is a feature-length documentary essay by filmmaker Eli Steele (Man of Steele Productions), based on the influential book by his father, Shelby Steele. The film will be released in September 2026.

It examines white guilt as a powerful but rarely discussed force in American political and cultural life.

In Eli’s own words:

“White guilt is the most important story no one is telling honestly. Not Marxism. Not woke ideology. Not suicidal empathy. Those are symptoms. White guilt is the disease that allows these other ideologies and behaviors to take hold. It’s the grease that makes all of it possible, and until we name it clearly, we have no chance of reversing it.”

Hector had admired Shelby Steele’s writing for years, so when Eli approached us about creating the graphics and animation for the documentary, it was a project we were immediately eager to take on.

We developed its visual identity and created all graphics throughout the film. We designed and animated the main title, created chapter titles and supers, built animated sequences from media clippings, treated archival footage, and produced its internal graphic sequences. We also designed the official poster.

White Guilt takes a sharp look at one of the central moral and cultural questions facing the West today, and we’re proud to have been part of it.
